Heather Flannery is the Health Circle Global Lead at ConsenSys and the Founder and Board Chair of Blockchain in Healthcare Global (“BiHG”), a new independent 501(c)6 membership organization within the IEEE ISTO (ieee-isto.org) working to mitigate the barriers to adoption of blockchain, and converging innovations such as AI and IoMT, in healthcare delivery and the health, life, and social sciences while advancing progress in scientific reproducibility, medical ethics, human rights, and global inclusion. BiHG is developing a trans-jurisdictional policy roadmap and regulatory agenda, seeding industry self-regulation, and leading infrastructure and standards development in support of the common business interests of its members and for social good.

Prior to BiHG, Ms. Flannery founded and led Obesity PPM, an innovative provider of disease management, population health, research administration, and information technology managed services for health systems in the Americas, and was an early adopter of distributed ledger technology. Ms. Flannery has driven business model and technology innovation throughout her 24-year career as an entrepreneur, strategist, and change agent. She is intrinsically motivated to impact population health through non-communicable disease prevention and treatment and has consulted in the public sector in context of international development and global health. Ms. Flannery is a member of the Boards of Directors for cybersecurity firm Hedron Analytics, the blockchain-based faster-miracles company Science Distributed, and the non-profit Virginia Obesity Research Institute. She is an active participant in HIMSS and IEEE working groups on blockchain and healthcare, is an Innovation Fellow of the EP3 Foundation, produces the open-access “Blockchain in Healthcare” webinar series, and runs two Meetup groups in Washington DC, Blockchain in Healthcare Innovation Group, and Blockchain for Social Impact DC.

Peter Tylczyński

Peter has worked for a string of companies throughout his career, ranging from global industry leaders like Maersk (logistics) or Wolters Kluwer (publishing, media) to start-ups in advertising or industrial design. In recent years he has been active as a strategic consultant in the IT industry, focusing on go-to-market analysis and strategic issues. He has a JD degree in international law and nearly 20 years of global business development experience, which he is currently sharing with MineBest. Dr. Michael Gebert

Dr. Michael Gebert is Chairman and founding member of the European Blockchain Association, that combines, synchronizes and leverages blockchain-related activities of European corporations, startups, venture capitalists, and scientific institutes. After his studies of economics in Munich, Michael started his career at LTX in Boston. Two years later he returned to Germany to be an early employee of Compuserve. 1995 he founded his first company Global Login, to consult banks to manage and understand the challenges of the digital transformation. After a successful trade-sale of his first Start-Up, he founded AdMaster Networks, a European digital advertising powerhouse and sold the entity to be part of a joint entity named ArboMedia, going public at the Neuen Markt 2001. Michael was 2002 one of the early experts to understand the implication of wireless broadband ( WLAN ) for the digital transformation and served as VP for ComFone in Berne, a joint venture of Swisscom and Vodafone to established WLAN as part of a serviced integrated product portfolio for tear one mobile operators around the world. In that time he founded and established the Wireless Broad Awards – a bi-annual award show in Dubai and London – that should later be integrated into the WBA Alliance, the world´s largest alliance of WLAN operators. Driven by innovation, Michael has shifted his focus till then to understand the risks and chances of crowd-based phenomenas, like CrowdSourcing, CrowdInnovation and Crowdfunding. Michael is founding board member of the CrowdSourcing Association and the German CrowdFounding Network. He serves as an adviser for the EU Commission in the CrowdFunding Stakeholder Group in Brussels and a nominated member of the TAB Begleitkreis „Digitale Arbeit“ for the Deutschen Bundestag. Jeffrey Wernick

Jeffrey Wernick is an experienced independent private investor in various sectors of the world economy. Jeffrey has more than 40 years of experience including investments in worldwide known companies. Then Jeffrey shifted the focus to banking operations, credit platforms, and tech startups. In 1971, when President Nixon suspended the conversion of dollars into gold at a price of $35 per ounce, 15-year old Mr. Wernick invested his savings of $5,000 into gold stocks, which grew to about $250,000 in 1974 when he entered the University of Chicago and began trading. While studying at the university, Jeffrey began his career in trading options and futures on the CBOC, CBOT and the CME. Later, he worked at Salomon Brothers. Then, he became the youngest Senior Officer for quantitative research, capital trading, risk management and loan pricing at the National Bank of Detroit. Jeffrey implemented the earliest known private placements of structured securitization including underlying assets of mortgages, credit card receivables, auto loans, commercial real estate, office buildings, and commercial real estate. Jeffrey launched a technology-oriented venture capital company AVI Portfolio Services Company, Inc. and started a hedge fund to invest in distressed and bankrupt companies to help to restructure their balances. His company specialized in risk management in tailored and exotic derivative products, which was sold in 1984 to the largest insurance company in diversified financial interests. Since then, he has been managing money, including his personal wealth, and has extensive experience in investing in distressed and bankrupt companies, as well as in other domestic and international investment opportunities, including seed capital, angel investing, venture capital, real estate, currencies, raw materials, mining, all forms of derivatives and structured financial products, sharing economy, credit platforms, bitcoin, blockchain, biomedical, human genome project and payment systems. He is also a frequent speaker who has been invited to speak multiple times at his alma mater, The University of Chicago.
