Alex Mashinsky

Alex is one of the inventors of VOIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) with a foundational patent dating back to 1994 and is now working on MOIP (Money Over Internet Protocol) technology. Over 35 patents have been issued to Alex, relating to exchanges, VOIP protocols, messaging and communication.

Alex is a serial entrepreneur and founder of seven New York City-based startups, raising more than $1 billion and exiting over $3 billion. Alex founded two of New York City’s top 10 venture-backed exits since 2000: Arbinet, with a 2004 IPO that had a market capitalization of over $750 million; and Transit Wireless, valued at $1.2 billion.

Alex has received numerous awards for innovation, including being nominated twice by E&Y as ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’, in 2002 & 2011; Crain’s 2010 Top Entrepreneur; the prestigious 2000 Albert Einstein Technology medal; and the Technology Foresight Award for Innovation (presented in Geneva at Telecom 99).

As one of the pioneers of web-based exchanges, Alex authored patents that cover aspects of the Smart Grid, ad exchanges, Twitter, Skype, App Store, Netflix streaming concept and many other popular web companies. Additionally, Arbinet’s fundraising story was featured as a case study in 2001 by Harvard Business School.

Alicia García-Herrero

Alicia García-Herrero is the Chief Economist for Asia Pacific at Natixis. She also serves as Senior Fellow at European think-tank BRUEGEL and Research Fellow at Real Instituto Elcano, and is currently Adjunct Professor at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Alicia is an advisor to the Hong Kong Monetary Authority’s research arm (HKIMR) and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) as well as a member of the board of the Hong Kong Forum.

Alicia holds a PhD in Economics from George Washington University and has published extensively in refereed journals and books. Her research work and opinions are frequently quoted in leading international media, such as the Bloomberg, CNBC, CNN, Reuters, Financial Times, and Forbes. Pindar Wong

Pindar Wong is an internet pioneer, who co-founded the first licensed Internet Service Provider in Hong Kong in 1993 and Chief Architect of the ‘Belt and Road Blockchain Consortium’. Pindar serves on the Hong Kong Government’s Committee on Innovation, Technology and Re-industrialisation, as a Director of the Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute (ASTRI) and also serves on the  Hong Kong Trade Development Council ICT Services advisory committee, the School of Engineering Advisory Committee Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, the Technical Advisory Board of the Packet Clearing House and on the Editorial Advisory Board of the Internet Protocol Journal.  Previously, he was the first Vice-Chairman of ICANN, Chairman of the Asia Pacific Internet Association, alternate Chairman of Asia Pacific Network Information Center, Chairman of APRICOT, Commissioner on the Global Commission on Internet Governance and elected Trustee of the Internet Society.  From 2010-2015 he served on the Digital 21 Strategy Advisory Committee of the Hong Kong Government and the Task Force on Industry Facilitation.  In 2015, he helped organise Asia’s first Blockchainworkshops.org, Phase 1, 2 and 3 of ScalingBitcoin.org and sponsored the Hong Kong Bitcoin Roundtable.  Together with Dr. Shin’ichiro Matsuo, he is establishing the bsafe.network to promote applied academic research in blockchain technologies.

Ben Goertzel

Dr. Ben Goertzel is the founder and CEO of SingularityNET, a blockchain-based AI marketplace. Dr. Goertzel is also formerly the Chief Scientist of Hanson Robotics, a Hong Kong-based engineering and robotics firm that is best known for their development of humanlike robots with AI. His research work encompasses artificial general intelligence, natural language processing, cognitive science, data mining, machine learning, computational finance, bioinformatics, virtual worlds and gaming and other areas. He has published a dozen scientific books, 100+ technical papers, and numerous journalistic articles. Before entering the software industry he served as a university faculty in several departments of mathematics, computer science, and cognitive science, in the US, Australia, and New Zealand.

Tom Trowbridge

Tom Trowbridge is President at Triterras, Former President at Hedera Hashgraph, and Former President of the Hedera Hashgraph Council. Prior to joining HHC, Trowbridge started and ran the New York office for UK -based Odey Asset Management. Before Odey, Tom held various positions at Lombard Odier, Atticus Capital and Goldman Sachs. He started his career in 1996 as an investment banker in the telecom group at Bear, Stearns & Co., and subsequently spent three and and a half years at the telecom and media private equity firm Alta Communications where he executed 10 deals in technology, telecom and media and served on served on two boards. Tom has a BA from Yale University and an MBA from Columbia University, where he was a member of Beta Gamma Sigma.

Tom Trowbridge

Tom Trowbridge is a Co-founder of Fluence Labs and Hedera Hashgraph and the former President of Singapore headquartered Triterras; the largest commodity trade and trade finance platform now public on the NASDAQ under the symbol NFIN (soon to be TRIT).

Fluence Labs has developed an open application platform that leverages blockchain to enable new software business models.  Applications share data and users and are radically easier to create, allowing developers to build on each other and be rewarded as their services and applications are used.

At Hedera Hashgraph, the leading enterprise-grade public ledger, Tom drove the business from concept to mainnet launch with a $124 million capital raise, a global team in eight countries, over 500 companies building on the network and a groundbreaking corporate governance council including Google, LG, IBM, Deutsche Telekom, Nomura, DLA Piper and Tata.

Mr. Trowbridge spent four years at Goldman Sachs and left to build businesses at Atticus Capital and Lombard Odier. Before joining Hedera, he started and ran the New York office for UK-based Odey Asset Management.

Mr. Trowbridge has been advising technology companies since 1996, when he started his career as an investment banker in the telecom group of Bear, Stearns & Co. and began investing in early-stage technology companies in 1998 as a member of the private equity and venture capital firm Alta Communications.

Mr. Trowbridge has a BA from Yale University and an MBA from Columbia University.

Mai Fujimoto

More popularly known in the world as “Miss Bitcoin”, Mai has been involved in Crypto since 2011, making lots of accomplishments during her career. She is most interested in using CryptoCurrency and Blockchain for the SDGs. She launched a donation platform called KIZUNA in 2017 and helping BINANCE Charity Foundation as an ambassador. She is active as a KOL who works to spread the entire blockchain industry as twitter and YouTuber.
