Jason Hsu

Jason Hsu is technologist-turned-legislator. He served as legislator at-large in Taiwan’s parliament overseeing technology developments, entrepreneurship and innovation. Among the crucial legislations he introduced and passed which include FinTech Regulatory Sandbox Act, Self-driving Vehicle Act, Angel Investment Law, Cybersecurity Management Act and Virtual Currency Guidelines (Security Token Offerings). Jason is a proponent for cryptocurrency and blockchain. Known as Crypto Congressman, Jason is credited for setting up Asia Blockchain Alliance (ABA), Taiwan Parliamentary Coalition for Blockchain(TPCB) and Self-Regulatory Organization(SRO). Jason worked on Artificial Intelligence Leadership Act and in charge of setting up Council on AI, Law and Ethics. Jason also founded Indo-Pacific Cybersecurity Alliance under auspices of US State Department’s Global Training Framework Workshop with ICT Ministers from 15 countries.

A regular keynote speaker on blockchain and cryptocurrency regulations, Jason has spoken at Global Blockchain Forum, BlockCity, Seamless Asia, World Economic Forum (WEF) Center for Industry 4.0, Google, G20 Summit in Osaka, Berkeley Blockchain Club and Taiwan RegTech Conference, Asia Leadership Summit, World Knowledge Forum, Harvard Law School’s Berkman Klein Center for Internet, Yale’s Jackson Institute of Global Affairs. Jason is a founding member of Global Blockchain Policy Council.

Jason Hsu co-founded TEDxTaipei in 2009 and served as TEDx senior ambassador to Asia from 2011~2015. Hsu graduated from Singularity University with a focus on exponential technology. He is a Draper Hills Fellow at Stanford University’s Center for Democracy Development and Rule of Law (CDDRL). He’s also selected as an IVLP fellow by U.S. State Department.

Shirley Hsu

Shirley Hsu, experienced CFO and CEO with 25 plus years of investment experience in New York and Hong Kong.

MIA degree from Columbia University School of International Affairs and BA from Bryn Mawr College, Shirley is an experienced C-level executive with a demonstrated history of working in the financial services and investment industry including investment banking, private equity, start-ups, fintech, healthcare, e-learning, luxury retail, life style including golf resorts investment and management.

Shirley started her investment banking career with Lehman Brothers on Wall Street and eventually relocated to Hong Kong with Chase Manhattan Bank after graduating from Columbia in 1991.  She was instrumental in the early Chinese capital market development with listing of the first patch of H-shares for Chinese companies on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.  As Co-head of TMT at Bank of China International, she lead managed a team of investment bankers for ZTE H-share listing jointly with JP Morgan, China Unicom listing while working at BNP; Participated actively for the listing of  Bank of China Group and Bank of China Hong Kong, China Everbright Bank as Equity Capital Markets head at various top Investment Banks based in Hong Kong.  She also worked for a mainland Chinese conglomerate as a CEO for 7 years focus on investment in financial service, fintech particularly in Blockchain development as adoption (investment in mining pool to coin exchange), luxury real estate investment and management including champagne assets, two chateaus in France, one castle in Ireland, vineyard in Bordeaux, France, golf resort hotels outside of London and Bath, UK and ski resort outside of Geneva, Switzerland.

She is currently working in Hong Kong as a CFO with TUS Pine Peak, an overseas technology investment platform of TUS Group, part of Tsinghua University Holding family.

Dr. Lucas Hui

Dr Hui was appointed the Chief Technology Officer in October 2019, bringing with him over 30 years of outstanding research, consulting and teaching experience and a passion in “enabling people and processes to fully leverage the power of technology.”

Dr Hui is an internationally renowned expert in applied research in cybersecurity, data sciences and trust management, with vast leadership experience in collaborative projects in complex, multi- stakeholder situations across technological, organizational and geographical boundaries.

He first joined ASTRI in February 2018 as a Senior Director, and has successfully led the ASTRI Security Lab, IoT Security, Data Analytics, Multimedia Systems and Analytics, and Blockchain research teams. Some of the most exciting innovations delivered include cyber intelligence in FinTech, IoT security, industrial big data analytics for predictive maintenance, news and social media data analytics, and diagnostic image analytics platform for cancer screening.

Dr Hui is a pioneer in Information Security research in Hong Kong, with extensive connections in Greater China as well as internationally. Before joining ASTRI, he was a Faculty member at the University of Hong Kong (HKU) for nearly 20 years, and founded the university’s Centre for Information Security and Cryptography. He also taught at the National University of Singapore (NUS). He has been a delegate, speaker, or panellist at numerous international conferences and workshops, and has over 200 papers attributed to him in international publications and journals. He was on the Steering Committee of ASIACRYPT – a top international conference in cryptography – and had hosted international conferences in Hong Kong.

Dr Hui completed his Bachelor of Science in Computer Studies and MPhil in Computer Science with HKU. He also holds a Master of Science and a PhD in Computer Science from the University of California, Davis.

Chris Jaszczynski

As a co-founder of MMCrypto, Chris is considered a thought leader for tens of thousands of their followers.

Projects deemed potentially good by the MMCrypto team were all profitable even during the worst days of the bear market. Karthik Iyer

Karthik Iyer is a globally recognized expert in blockchain and fintech. He is the India ambassador of the world’s largest think tank on decentralized technologies, the P2P Foundation (the only place Satoshi Nakamoto has his webpage). Karthik has been involved with cryptocurrencies as early as 2009 and did his first trade in 2011. He is the Founder of India’s first end-to-end Blockchain and Cryptocurrency research firm, Blockchain Monk.

He spent over a decade in Scandinavia and has mentored dozens of blockchain companies such as Ammbr, Dubtokens, Greeneum and Peerity and helped them build great products and raise capital. Karthik has worked for leading technology firms such as Red Hat, Novell, Sun Microsystems and advised CXO’s of global banks in technology strategy.

He is the only non-European involved in the largest EU research project on peer-to-peer value and assisted the European Council in understanding the disruptive potential of blockchain and smart contracts. He also advised the heads of the largest banks and insurance firms in Europe on the potential of decentralized finance and blockchain technologies at LIMRA and subsequently helped various Scandinavian and American companies expand into Asia.

Alexandre Kech

Alexandre Kech has 20+ years of experience in the banking and capital market industry. From global custody and asset servicing at the Bank of New York Mellon to data standardisation and Head of Securities & FX APAC at SWIFT, Alex has developed a strong post-trade industry leadership experience, extended in recent years to digital assets and blockchain.

Alexandre transitioned to a new challenge in November 2018 when he joined Onchain Custodian as the CEO of the company in charge of building and launching, with Da Hongfei (Chair of the Board), Raymond Cheong (CSO) and El Lee (COO), an institutional digital asset custody and open finance service in Singapore. Stani Kulechov

Stani Kulechov is the Founder and CEO of Aave, an open-source and non-custodial money market protocol to earn interest on deposits and borrow assets. Stani was studying law at the University of Helsinki when he first got into Ethereum and he started exploring how it could impact the traditional financial system. In 2017, Stani released ETHLend, one of the first DeFi DApps ever. Since then, he has made it his mission to create tools for an open, transparent, and equitable financial ecosystem through Aave Protocol.
